Bringing together photography and social work practices, I am conducting a therapeutic research pilot program called "From Illness to Wellness: Photos as a tool for empowerment among older adults in mental health settings", funded by an HNE Allied Health Research Grant.
The research investigates the feasibility and value of using photovoice as a visual research method in the Mental Health Unit for Older Persons. It aims to support a largely invisible cohort to share their perspectives and experiences with peers, the service and the broader population.
