"It can be easy to be disheartened with the statistics of gender inequality in Australia. Despite the progress that has been made in recent decades, many women and girls still face inequality and discrimination in many different ways.
But rather than get disheartened, at Wayside Chapel we focus on the exceptional contribution women make every day. We believe change is here. Women make up 67% of our workforce, 71% of our executive leadership team, and 44% of our board of directors. We have a culture of respect for women and policies and procedures to support women at their various life stages.
Our focus at Wayside is on supporting women to be the best version of themselves with the belief that we’ll contribute to a groundswell that eventually transforms the state of gender inequality in Australia.
